Correspondence Salon for Ladies & Gentlemen

Photomontage of museum visitors working with stationary, stamps, and other paper material.
Get inspired at this 45-minute free-style workshop. We’ll provide elegant materials, including vintage postage for your artistic mail. Create envelopes that entertain, enchant, and even enlighten.

Your Classic Correspondence Kit includes a tasteful array of envelopes, thick cards, and other epistolary accessories. Each guest will also receive an assortment of stamps on one of these topics:

  • Art on Stamps
  • Collecting Stamps & Sending Mail
  • Americana
  • Air & Space
  • Natural Beauty
  • Fish & Wildlife

The stamps are beautiful and topical and yours to use.

Take a picture of your creation and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The museum is launching a special Facebook stamp gallery event page to display your photos! You can also choose to mail your creation from the Postal Museum – you will receive a special pictorial cancellation. Delight your correspondents!

Seven 45-minute sessions will be held throughout the day in our new Byrne Education Loft, on the mezzanine level of the Gross Gallery. The salon is free, but space is limited. Please make your reservation below.

The Correspondence Salon is made possible by a generous donation from Neenah Paper.
