Mitch Toda

Mitch joined the National Postal Museum in the Fall of 2023. He graduated with a Master's in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archival Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his B.A. in Art History from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to working at the museum, Mitch held positions at the Smithsonian Institution Archives, The Huntington Library, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He has the privilege of starting the Archives at the Museum and works to acquire, catalog, preserve, and make accessible archival collections that document postal operations history, philately, and the mail.

Interests: Baking, hiking and being outdoors, checking out new museums, architecture and design, and traveling

What I like best about working at the National Postal Museum: It is an honor to be able to start the Archives at the Museum. I am excited to be able to share the archival materials that tell the stories about the people, places, objects, and events that document postal operations in the United States and internationally.
