Preservation Specialist

I have always loved history and wanted to interact with historical artifacts, which is what led me to becoming a museum professional. I joined the Postal Museum in 2007 after graduating with my M.A. in Museum Studies from The George Washington University and everyday has been different, challenging and fun. My main responsibility is to preserve the museum’s collections whether in storage or on exhibition. I work with the tiniest postage stamp to the largest objects in our collection, which is a challenge, but worth it as my work allows visitors the opportunity to view some of our treasures for years to come.

Interests: soccer, pirates, reading, running, cookies
Favorite museum object: R2-D2 Collection Box
What I like best about working at the National Postal Museum: We are a small enough staff that allows me to work on many different projects.
