The Post Office was My Second Family
Postal Families
I had just lost my mother and I was young; only 21, and was the mother of two and I had four siblings that needed attendance and I wasn’t the oldest. My oldest sister, she was paralyzed from a car accident, so the Lord took my mother home and he blessed me with my Postal job, so I was able to keep my family together and today we are still together and my sister that had that happen to her, she was 16 then and is 61 now, and I have been with the Post Office for 36 years and counting and some of the workers there kind of knew my story and everybody was very passionate and concerned with our welfare and I just took that to heart and was never interested in transferring or anything. I had found me another family. The Post Office was my second family.
