- Johannesburg Social Welfare, Poor Relief, 1947-48. Photographic image of a black South African man standing on the back of a truck handing a basket to a white South African woman. The basket is probably filled with food and other goods for her poor family. Behind her is a house where two children are sitting on the steps. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1948.
