- Shield, Rawhide:Paint:with Leather Handle:E. Hollis Hopkins Collection, Baltimore, Maryland According to Heather Akou, the photo is of "the inside of a Somali warrior's shield. The geometric design is painted on leather." A similar shield is in the ethnology collections of the Smithsonian's Department of Anthropology.
