Lets Deliver Mail

Let’s Deliver the Mail

(Designed for Preschool students)
Accommodates up to 25 students
Duration: 45 minutes
Available by advanced reservation at 10:30 am and 11:30 am, Tuesdays through Fridays.

This fun, action-packed program combines story time and an in-gallery activity for very young learners. Led by museum staff, students will read the story Let’s Deliver the Mail and then engage in pretend play as a mail carrier.

Listen, Look & Do!

(Designed for Pre-K & Kindergarten students)
Accommodates up to 25 students
Duration: 45 minutes
Available by advanced reservation at 10:30 am and 11:30 am, Tuesdays through Fridays.

Filled with multi-sensory experiences, students read a story (Listen) with a museum educator, explore the museum (Look), and then engage in a fun, hands-on activity (Do).

We offer nine different themes—one theme per tour—allowing educators to pick a tour that best suits their teaching needs.

First Class Problem Solvers graphic

First Class Problem Solvers

(Designed for 1st through 3rd Graders)
Accommodates up to 30 students
Duration: 60 minutes
Available by advanced reservation at 10:15 am and 11:30 am, Tuesdays through Fridays.

Can you ship a potato chip without breaking it? After learning and seeing examples of problem solving within the postal system, your students will have a chance to practice their own skills by solving a challenge to design a container that can safely ship a single potato chip. Working in teams, students will present their strategies and decision-making process with the class to wrap up the project.

Big Draw

(Designed for 3rd through 5th Graders)
Accommodates up to one class of students at a time
Duration: 50 minutes
Available by advanced reservation at 10:15 am and 11:30 am, Tuesdays through Fridays.

Do you know how a stamp design is selected for production and issue? In Big Draw, students learn all about the stamp design process—from the ways an artist must think about their artwork to the rules of images and themes permitted on stamps—and get to sketch their own stamp for consideration!
