3-cent Printing Tercentenary Stephen Daye press single

The 300th anniversary of printing in colonial America was commemorated with a 3-cent violet stamp. The stamp, issued on September 25, 1939, pictures the Stephen Daye Press, the first printing press used in colonial America. The press was set up at Harvard College and printed the Freeman's Oath in 1639.
