3-cent Coast Guard single

The United States Coast Guard was honored for its achievements in World War II by the issuance of a 3-cent green stamp on November 10, 1945. The design features two Coast Guard landing craft proceeding from a supply ship in the background. The Coast Guard was particularly noteworthy for its efforts in defending American coastal waters against enemy submarines and other ships.
