5-cent George Washington single

Though the Liberty and Prominent Americans Major Definitive Issues dominated the 1960s, three regular definitive stamp issues were released by the Post Office Department between 1962 and 1966.

The first regular definitive issue featured a dramatic impression of George Washington; the second definitive issue featured an American flag over the White House; the final definitive issue, the 1-cent Andrew Jackson, mirrored designs of major definitive stamps featuring important Americans.
