Arthur Singer’s emphasis on color, form, and movement is a familiar sight to the many birdwatchers who have used his lavishly illustrated books. In 1982, Singer and his son, Alan, created this Robin and Mountain Laurel painting for a set of stamps to honor all 50 state birds and flowers.
