Alan D. Singer, who worked with his father to create the State Birds and Flowers stamps, is also a prominent botanical and wildlife artist in his own right. During his 25-year career, his illustrations have been commissioned by leading publishers and magazines, and he is an art professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.
