2010 Postal Employees

On October 18, 2010, two gunmen robbed a post office in Henning, Tennessee, killing two postal workers in the robbery. Judy Spray, a rural carrier associate, and Paula Robinson, a retail clerk, were shot and killed during the robbery. The killers made off with only $63 in the robbery. In 2011, during an unrelated event, police arrested Chastain Montgomery after his son, Chastain Montgomery Jr., was killed at the end of a police chase after stealing a truck. The gun used by the son during the carjacking matched that used in the post office robbery. As of 2014, Montgomery had been charged with the murders and was awaiting trial.
