CORRESONDENCE ADDRESSED TO POSTMASTER GENERAL MONTGOMERY BLAIR, 1861-1864. Montgomery Blair, a member of Abraham Lincoln's cabinet, rankled many of his associates with his outspoken opposition to radical Republicans.
He resigned his cabinet position in 1864 and lost bids for both the Senate (1865) and the House (1882).
