These three statehood stamps are examples of secondary sources. You have to look closely for details like the dates, the price of the stamps, and the colors used in the stamps. For example, the "Montana" stamp shows two dates, 1889 and 1989, while the other two stamps only show one date. Even though the date of 1889 is on the other two stamps, looking at the price of 25 cents and the bright colors used, we know that these stamps were created after the 1800s.
