Bradbury loved to write and understood the power and importance of free speech. The 1-cent Americana-Inkwell and Quill stamp was issued in 1980.
3-cent Joseph Pulitzer stamp
Ray Bradbury won a Pulitzer Prize in 2007. The 3-cent Joseph Pulitzer stamp was issued in 1947 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Pulitzer's birth.
 

Ray Bradbury continued to write until the end of his life. In his later years he also gave lectures at universities, wrote screenplays for TV shows and movies, and raised a family with his wife Marguerite. He won numerous awards for his books and screenplays, including a Pulitzer Prize in 2007. He also was nominated for an academy award, won an Emmy and a National Book Medal for lifelong achievement. Overall though, Ray Bradbury will always be remembered for his award winning science fiction works and love of knowledge and education.
