Acknowledgements

This exhibit was presented by the National Postal Museum in partnership with the Legacy Project, a national, all-volunteer effort that seeks out and preserves wartime correspondence. The exhibited letters are among tens of thousands forwarded to The Legacy Project.

The National Postal Museum is grateful for the invaluable contributions of the interns who volunteered their time to assist staff with this exhibit, especially Anne Terrill for research and Katherine Starr for design. Several interns also offered assistance during the summer of 2005, including Katherine Hardy, Mari-Alice Denis, and Wendy Smith.
