The National Postal Museum gala was held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Museum in Washington, DC. Recipients of the 2023 Smithsonian Philatelic Achievement Awards were honored at the black-tie event.

Smithsonian Philatelic Achievement Award

The 2023 Gala will recognize recipients of the Smithsonian Philatelic Achievement Award (SPAA), which honors and celebrates living individuals for outstanding lifetime achievement in the field of philately. This achievement may include original research that significantly advances the understanding of philately, exceptional service to the philatelic community or sustained promotion of philately to the benefit of current and future collectors.
