Murals Portary Work of U.S. Navy Medical Corps.
These four panels in the Hospital Corps School, Norfolk Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va., were painted by a naval artist, Lt. Samuel Bookatz, USNR. They are the first of several murals which Lt. Bookatz will paint for various naval hospitals and other medical installations.
Lt. Bookatz's mural painting of the hospital ship RELIEF and SOLACE and the old hospital ship RED ROVER are in the library of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.
