- Collected between 1940 and 1941 during the Wenner-Gren Scientific Expedition to Hispanic America, led by anthropologist and filmmaker Paul Fejos (1897-1963) and sponsored by Swedish industrialist Axel Wenner-Gren (1881-1961); donated to MAI by the Viking Fund, Inc. in 1941.
