- This is 11 of 13 envelopes of 7 photographs documenting Bohumil Shimek's travel and work in the southeast United States, 1936. Photographs are numbered and some include descriptions on the reverse side. Subject matter covers oil derricks near Sulphur, Louisiana; examples of trees (including oak, and royal palms, magnolia) near Lake Charles, Louisiana; and buildings in the two towns.
