Abstract

This field book consists of a daily record of botanical illustration work by F. A. Walpole, from 1896 through 1904. The entries list date, illustration subject (usually scientific name of plant), and other notations ("tracing", "F.B.5", "c6", etc.). Some entries include the name of the client. Towards the back of the book is a list of drawings completed "not for the Department of Botany" with date, client, number of hours, and number of days.
