Abstract: The journal and species accounts document the field work of Merlin D. Tuttle for the Smithsonian Venezuelan Project, August 4 - 15, 1965. Begins with species accounts. These vary in length and content. They are organized by type (scientific name), and include a combination of categories: date range, number of specimens obtained, habitat (vegetation types and measurements), food (bait used), reproduction (quantity, sex, ages, measurements of specimens), habits (whether nocturnal, favored habitat, location of nests), morphology (specimen appearance / characteristics), and other observations.
