- Abstract
- The diary documents Andrew Caudell's work during January 1 - December 31, 1921. Dated entries are narrative in style, typed with handwritten notes. Entries describe daily work (e.g. insect determinations), general observations, work with colleagues, field work, and miscellaneous notes. Entries describing field work include type of insect, their appearance as well as coloring, state of development, location, environment, and vegetation. There are sections discussing common museum pests. Collecting occurred around work and home, in the vicinity District of Columbia including Maryland and Virginia.
