- Uncolored lithograph commenting on the rush to California, featuring a balloon labeled 'California Mail Balloon via Nicaragua.' The balloon is aloft over the ocean with ships in the water. There are men on the balloon and ships, and all have speech bubbles. References are made to Cornelius Vanderbilt; Blondin, the wire walker; and Johnson's patent balloon.
