She stands at three-quarter profile view with her proper left arm along the lower portion of the image. The woman is looking directly into the camera and not smiling. In the background a wall, seen out of focus, is covered with picture frames with images and photographs of children. In the upper left corner is a larger rectangular picture frame cropped off on the left side. Below the large frame are two (2) small frames with additional images and photographs of children. The background of the upper right corner of the image is in shadow.
