A metal floor lamp with a crystal lampshade from Mae's Millinery Shop
Object Details
- Description
- A metal floor lamp and a crystal lampshade. The lamp consists of a circular metal disc (1a), a metal finial (1b), 126 crystal drop beads of varying sizes (1c), and a metal base (1d). The metal disc (1a) has a row of clear glass beads strung around the top edge through metal holes at even intervals. Six metal spokes attached the outer rim of the disc to a small metal circle in the center that is hollow inside. Small holes are punctured on the underside of the outer and inner sides of the rim for attaching the crystal beads (1c). The metal finial (1b) attaches by a metal rod through the small central metal circle of the disc (1a) and onto the top of the base (1d). Metal prongs extend out of the finial rod in two tiers, with a hole on the end of each prong for attaching the crystal beads (1c). The beads are all clear glass crystals; some are faceted discs while others are long teardrops. Some of the beads are a faceted disc connected to a teardrop bead with a metal wire. The metal base (1d) consists of a circular stand with a single column in two sections, with the bottom section having a grooved design. Above the column are six (6) metal prongs curving upward with white plastic faux candlestick housing for each incandescent light bulb. A thin metal rod extends from the center top and above the light bulbs for attaching the shade to the base.
