- Inspired by Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the Southern Student Organizing Committee (SSOC), was an organization for white students who supported civil rights, worker's rights, feminism, and opposed the Vietnam War.
- Description
- A pinback button for the Southern Student Organizing Committee (SSOC). The button has a white background. At center is a confederate flag with two hands shaking over it. The exterior edge has the manufacturer's information printed in black ink. The back of the button has a metal pin with a clasp.
