- Description
- A 1964 campaign pinback button for Robert F. Kennedy for New York Senate and Lyndon B. Johnson for President. In 1964 Johnson ran as a candidate of the Democratic Party. Kennedy also ran as a candidate of the Democratic Party and was endorsed by Johnson. The button has blue, white, and red horizontal bands with [Johnson] and [Kennedy] printed in block white text in the blue and red bands. Four (4), red, five pointed stars are printed in the white band between the candidates’ names. There is a union mark printed along the rounded edges of this button. The back of the button is silver toned with a silver-colored pin.
