Object Details
- Description
- A mimeograph reproduction of Baby, by Edward Strickland for the Committee for the Negro in the Arts, Art Workshop Folio. Printed in black ink on white paper, it is a reproduction of a charcoal drawing that depicts an infant. The infant’s head is sketched in detail while its shoulders and proper right hand are loosely sketched. The infant is shown in three quarters pose with its head is turned slightly towards the left edge of the drawing. The infant is looking into the distance towards the left and has a serious expression on its face. The infant’s head is covered in fine, dark hair and the proper right side of its face is shaded. The artist signature, [Ed Strickland], is written just below the infant’s proper left shoulder. The verso is blank.
