Object Details

Description
Penn Athletic Club bronze medal for the 50 Yard Dash awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1941. The obverse of the metal has a circular band running around the edge with relief text inside that reads [PENN ATHLETIC CLUB] at the top and [TRACK MEET] at the bottom. In the center of the medal is a relief depiction of a young William Penn in profile. Surrounding Penn is an interior circular band of a laurel wreath. At the bottom of the medal is a circle with a relief depiction of the shield with a coat of arms. The shield is flanked on either side by a goddess. On the reverse of the medal is engraved text that reads [50 YARD DASH] at the top and [1941] of the bottom.
