- Description
- This is a color photograph of Etta Moten Barnett with three other individuals. She stands in a row with two women and a man. Etta Moten Barnett stands on the far left wearing a high-necked, long sleeved white and purple tie dye dress. The dress has a white background with wide purple diagonal stripes. Narrow purple stripes run diagonally in the opposite direction. She wears a large pendant around her neck and gazes to her left. Standing on her left side is a woman wearing a white dress with alternating broad and narrow grey bands of zigzagging stripes. The dress is belted in the middle. Scattered over the surface are large yellow flowers. She gazes directly at the viewer. Standing next to her is a third woman, wearing a white dress with black and white polka dots and small pink flowers scattered across the surface. On her other side is a man in a white button-down shirt, and a red and black patterned tie under a brown blazer. Both the man and woman gaze directly at the viewer. On the back of the photograph is handwritten text explaining the photograph is of the co-chairs for the preview dinner of the Africa Exhibit.
