- Description (Brief)
- Luge suit worn by luge racer Chris Mazdzer during the 2018 World Cup season. Mazdzer became the first American to medal in the men’s singles luge event at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang winning the silver medal. Mazdzer has been competing internationally since 2001 but began sledding when he was just a boy. He competes on the World Cup circuit and has competed in two previous Winter Olympic Games finishing 13th in both the Vancouver and Sochi Games. Mazdzer explains that luge is an experience-based sport, taking decades to perfect with only 33 men to ever compete for the USA in the sport. In 2019, Mazdzer began competing in doubles at World Cup events along with his singles duties.
