Colonel Lenard
Object Details
- Description
- Oil on illustration board. Portrait of Colonel Lenard. Ribbons of French Military and Civil Awards include: Médaille de l'armée des Vosges 1871, Orde national de la région d'honneur, Croix de Guerre, Médaille commémorative de Saint-Héléne (1857), and a unknown ribbon of red with two green bands (possibly a repeat of Médaille de l'armée des Vosges 1871). Lenard wears the standard French Army uniform of herizon blue with a red color patch on his collar indicating he is a staff officer. His hat has four rows of ribbon also indicating his rank. Lenard possibly wears the French equivalent of five overseas service bars on the lower part of both his right and left arm sleeves. He also has a moustache and wears glasses.
