- This Gene Kennedy basketball card is number 208 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 American Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Dallas Chaparrals forward on a green background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Gene’s nickname is ‘Goo’,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
- Kennedy played five seasons in the ABA for the Dallas Chaparrals, San Antonio Spurs, Spirits of St. Louis, and Utah Stars from 1971-1976. He played the 1976-77 season for the NBA’s Houston Rockets.
