- This Willie Norwood basketball card is number 39 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Detroit Pistons forward. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Willie played 1 year of Basketball in France,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
- Norwood played in the NBA for seven years beginning in 1971 and ending in 1978. Norwood spent the bulk of his career with the Detroit Pistons, but also played two years for the Seattle SuperSonics, and had a brief 19-game stint with the Portland Trail Blazers in 1978.
