- Description
- Shoe worn by champion racehorse Exterminator and later given to collector Edwin Rollins. Exterminator is perhaps best known for winning the 1918 Kentucky Derby. The gelding, bred in Kentucky, had a lengthy nine-year career, winning 50 races of the 99 entered. 1922’s “American Horse of the Year,” they were elected to the United States Racing Hall of Fame in 1957.
