- Description
- This Protex brand condom was manufactured and distributed by the National Sanitary Laboratories, Inc. of Lincolnwood, Illinois in 1986. The single lubricated condom in contained in a green box which describes the condom as “super-ribbed and textured for greater stimulation.” The box’s reverse bears the trademarked phrase “Protection…The Healthy Way.” and lists the qualities of the condom as “ribbed and textured surface offers greater stimulation for her/super thin for ultimate sensitivity/naturally transparent/reservoir end/lubricated.”
- National Sanitary Laboratories was one of the largest suppliers of condoms for vending machines. Throughout much of the mid to late twentieth century, vending machines provided an easy way to discreetly distribute condoms.
