- This shield-shaped metal baggage tag was given to Owney by someone who worked along the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. The back of the tag indicates the agreement offered to the holder--“in consideration of free carriage of baggage, its value is agreed to be limited to one hundred dollars.” There is no available information to indicate when this tag was presented to Owney.
