- The design of this oval-shaped, metal tag is relatively common among the Owney tags. This tag was given to Owney by F. P. Brooks of Running Water, Dakota Territory, now South Dakota. Owney would have traveled through Running Water on the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railroad. There is no available information to indicate when this tag was presented to Owney.
