- Owney received this identification token from Charles G. Snow of Madison, Wisconsin. There is no information to indicate when Snow gave this token to the dog. Snow held several jobs. During the years Owney was traveling, Snow worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. From 1890-18 he was an assistant night clerk for the railroad. From 1894-1895, he was a freight clerk for the company.
