Object Details
- Description
- While visiting Lawrence, Massachusetts on June 13, 1894, Owney received a very personalized token. Those who gave the dog this token engraved a poem on it for all to see: “At Lawrence Mass. they took me in. And fed me well. It wasn’t thin. To the M. L. & B. north, they sent me then. And I hope to see them all again.” The MB&L was the Manchester, Lawrence & Boston Railway Post Office line.
