- Description
- Owney may have received this transportation token (“good for 1 ride”) from the “Newberry’s Bus line” of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. That bus line provided tokens for riders to and from the town’s railway station. A number of railway lines passed through Ft. Dodge, including the Illinois Central, the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific, and the Mason City and Fort Dodge lines.
