- Die proof of 10-cent Great Smoky Mountains stamp (National Parks Year issue) approved and signed by Harllee Branch on September 28, 1934, after President Franklin D. Roosevelt indicated his approval with "OK / FDR." The stamp was issued eleven days later on October 8. The stamp was designed by Esther Richards.
