- Description
- Postcard flown on the first flight of the Graf Zeppelin to America from Friedrichshafen to Lakehurst on October 11, 1928. A flight confirmation postmark "Mit Luftschiff LZ127 befördert" (flown by airship LZ127) is affixed as well as a German 2 reichsmark special zeppelin postage stamp (Scott C36) tied by a Friedrichshafen postmark dated October 7, 1928. The postcard is addressed to Kobe, Japan, and also bears a transit New York postmark dated October 16, 1928 and a receiving postmark in Kobe dated November 3, 1928.
