- Four days before its journey to Lakehurst, New Jersey, to begin its flight around the world, the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin flew a test flight over Germany, dropping mail over fifteen cities. The July 28, 1929, Stuttgart drop was the first of these drops. The addressee was a well known airmail collector.
