- Description
- 2-cent carmine George Washington single (Scott 332) on advertising cover for J. K. Roumain, wholesale jeweler, with Baton Rouge machine cancel flag. The cover was transported in the Chicago pneumatic tube system.
- After the address was corrected to forward the letter to the Selwyn Hotel, the Tube Station cancel was applied when the letter re-entered the mail. The pneumatic tube system was used to send the letter to the correct Chicago train station for dispatch to North Carolina.
