- Single of the Wells Fargo & Company 2-dollar red stamp, tied by blue "Pony Express San Francisco June 12." Running Pony oval cancel on a 10-cent stamped envelope (USA Scott U33). Cover is cancelled by green "St. Joseph, Mo. Jun 24" circular date stamp.
- The envelope was carried from San Francisco, California, to A.W. Canfield in New York, New York, in twelve days during June 1861.
