- Design of the stamp is an engraving called "Columbus in Sight of Land" believed to be after a painting by W. H. Powell. Printed in sheets of 200, cut into panes of 50 for distribution. A few sheets of 100 remain intact today, as well as panes of 50. Quantity issued: 440,195,550.
