- Description
- This William Allen White Issue features a portrait of witer and journalist William Allen White. He was the owner and editor of the Emporia Gazette, published out of Emporia, Kansas. White won two Pulitzer Prize Awards: one in 1923 for editoral writing and one in 1947 (posthumously) for his autobiography. He was also a leader in the Progressive movement of the early 20th century.
